17 Years of Offering a Hand Up to San Diego’s Military Families

Welcome to Homefront San Diego

Helping the Families of the Men and Women who Serve Our Country

For the past 17 years, Homefront San Diego, in partnership with the Navy League of San diego, has provided support to those in the military services. Our mission was simple; take care of the families so those on active duty can concentrate on their mission.

We have provided a wide range of services and goods to over 18,000 service members and therir families, including car repairs, new baby cribs and car seats, emergency food, emergency bill pay help, furniture, donated vehicles and computers. We have been fortunate to have had incredible support from wonderful people, organizations and companies in the San Diego area.

However, times are changing. Many of our volunteers have moved out of the area, many are well into their senior years, and we recently lost the leader of our small organization. We have learned that more and more support is being offered to military families and have made the decision to “retire” Homefront San Diego.

Looking back on these 17 years, we have been humbled by the generosity of those in our area and have been blessed to witness the gratitude of families that have been supported by Homefront San Diego. We cannot begin to thank everyone that opened their hearts and, in many cases, their wallets so that we could finally say we’ve done the best we could for our most deserving families.

We have worked closely with many other organizations that also support military families. The following is a partial list of organizations that may be available to provide support to military families in the future and we encouage families in need to contact them:
